Dee Connell is the Wonthaggi Business and Tourism Association’s newly elected President. Dee is now in her 4th year sitting on the WBTA committee, and previously looked after the financials. Dee is the owner of Connells Bakery with her husband Brad, building the Connells brand to two locations in Bass Coast, and employing over 30 staff. Dee’s enthusiasm and leadership will help take the association to the next level.
Terry has been a committed WBTA committee member for 3 years and is in his second term as Vice President. Terry along with business partner Troy, own and run TNT Explosive Printz based in Wonthaggi. Terry has instigated the signage upgrade on the Bass Highway, the Durham Lane Street Art Project and the Laneways Festival as well as applying for a number of grants for the WBTA.
Jenny returned to Wonthaggi after 18 years of working in law firms in the Melbourne CBD working extensively in the area of property law. Prior to practicing and living in Melbourne, Jenny lived in Wonthaggi and the surrounding area throughout her early years, living on the family farm and attending Wonthaggi High School. Jenny subsequently worked with local law firms in the town for 23 years whilst raising a family, studying and being active in the local schools
Business Liason Officer
Local business owner Leah Montebello is the Business Liaison Officer for the Wonthaggi Business & Tourism Association .
Her role as the Business Liaison Officer will include increasing membership, running incentives to improve local business, assisting with local and state government issues and keeping you all informed of the Wonthaggi programs, events and networking opportunities.
Leah will act as the main point of contact between the members, committee and the Bass Coast Shire. Leah is also the main contact for the Make It Bake It Market.
